I've decided to separate my foodie blog with my personal blog because I want to share my knowledge (lol) and love for food with my friends and family (and of course, everyone who reads my blog). I know there's a lot of food blog out there and I'm not saying mine is any different. Just sharing the love people. Sharing the love.
Today, I will be sharing the Bruschetta recipe. Very very easy. For my taste, I skipped on the Balsamic vinegar because I choose to use lemon instead. Below would be the recipe:
For the bread:
1 loaf of baguette
3 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons of butter (melted) - You can opt this to olive oil
For the topping:
5 tomatoes cubed
2 cloves of garlic chopped finely
a generous heap of sweet basil leaves thinly sliced (i love basil. it really depends on how much u want to put)
1 tablespoon of sugar
2 tablespoons of Olive oil
Half a lemon
Parmesan cheese grated
salt
pepper
Instructions:
1)Slice the baguette on a diagonal about 1/2 inch thick slices. Coat each sides with melted butter and put them in the oven for 3-5 mins. Rub the garlic on the toasted slices on both sides.
2) Put the cubed tomatoes, chopped garlic, thinly sliced basil in a bowl. Add the olive oil, sugar, salt, pepper and the lemon juice and mix together.
3) Plate the toasted baguette and add the tomato topping. Add the Parmesan cheese on top of the tomatoes.
Enjoy.
